Track record
We have not published one yet — and we would rather say that plainly than fill this page with numbers you have no way to check.
WHERE THIS STANDS
There is no verified track record on this page today. There was a table here with nine months of returns in it, and those months never happened — it was placeholder data left in from the design, and it has been removed.
Almost every site in this corner of the market shows you a curve going up and to the right. Ask where it came from and the answer is usually a backtest on the best six months anyone could find. We are not going to do that, and the absence of a chart here is the most honest thing on the page.
When a record goes up, it goes up as a link you can open and inspect — not as a figure typed into this file.
What has to be true before a figure appears here
This is the standard, and it applies to every number anywhere on this site — not only this page.
- 01A link, not a number
An MQL5 Signal or Myfxbook page you can open yourself. Figures retyped onto our own site are figures nobody can check, and a screenshot is not evidence of anything.
- 02The whole period, not the good part
From the first trade to the last, including the months that lost money. A record that starts in a convenient month is a selected record.
- 03Live money, and we say so
Backtest, demo and live are three different things. Each figure will say which one it is, in the same line as the figure.
- 04Costs already deducted
Commission and swap taken out. Spread varies by broker, so your fills will never be exactly ours — that gap gets stated, not hidden.
- 05The drawdown next to the return
Peak to trough, over the same period. A return without its drawdown tells you what you might make and nothing about what you would have had to sit through.
How to read anybody’s track record
This is worth knowing whoever you are reading, because the same four questions catch most of what is wrong with the numbers you will be shown elsewhere.
Was the lot size fixed or compounded? A compounded result always looks larger than a fixed-lot one, and it carries a larger drawdown with it. The two are not comparable and are rarely labelled.
Are costs in or out? Commission and swap can turn a winning strategy into a losing one. A result quoted gross is not a result you could have had.
What is the worst stretch? Drawdown is the number that decides whether a strategy is usable, because it is the one you have to live through. A return without a drawdown beside it is half a sentence.
How long is the sample? Nine months is short. A year is short. A system that worked through one kind of market can struggle badly in the next one, and no length of record changes that.
What you can check right now
None of these is a performance claim. They are the parts of the site where the working is shown and you can do the arithmetic yourself.
- The market bias — twenty-one named checks on live candles. The page lists every check and its rule, so the percentage on the home page can be counted by hand.
- Signals — every call we have published, with its entry, stop and target, kept on the page afterwards whether it worked or not.
- Trade Autopsy — upload your own MT5 statement and read your own record. Free, no account, nothing stored.
If you want to ask about any of this directly, we are on Telegram.
PUREPIPS AI provides trading software. Trading foreign exchange, gold and CFDs carries a high level of risk and you can lose more than your initial deposit. Past performance — backtested, simulated or live — is not a reliable indicator of future results.
